A Light Within - Page #54 (Chemical Drive)

ArtistRack reviews Page #54 (Chemical Drive) by A Light Within:

A Light Within has illuminated a rather dim future of music to its core components with enthralling music through ambient dexterities penetrating the outer framework of each song.

There are riveting sequences of ambient guitar play through the production constituencies that give the music a remarkable sound that is taps into the supreme intelligence of music. The interweaved layering of several sounds and instruments portrays the complexities within the songwriting procedures that this band executes in their compositions.

The placidness of the constructed music meshed with the ethereal realm of hold a worldly aspect to the music that performs as a divinely structured pandemonium. This album is a gorgeous representation of progressive guitar elements that challenge the universal by-laws of sound with the syncopated rhythm sections that give the music malleability and appeal.

Each song advances past the preceding track with a linear progression of authentic capability and innovation. This type of music holds dear to the fundamentals of sound while simultaneously revolutionizing the landscape of frequency possibilities through unique amalgams of inspirational production aptitudes.

Epilogue paves the way towards ambitious pursuits by the ground while instilling an epilogue to the current state of affairs within the music scene.

RIYL: Deftones, Junius, Isis

On February 2nd 2018 post-metal band A LIGHT WITHIN will release their new EP Epilogue. The EP is the follow up to the band’s critically acclaimed 2015 release Body Matter.

Vocalist Kyle Brandt commented: “Epilogue is the final conceptual installment in a three part series containing transcribed diary entries written from the perspective of a reflective mind.Throughout the pages be prepared to hit an emotional remembrance of life experiences, love scenarios, and a metaphorical loss of it all.”

About A Light Within:

Residing in Kansas City, MO, “A Light Within” have been creating heavy music for five years that moves in new directions but is anchored in familiar sounds. They jump genre boundaries but don’t make the listener labor over what bands influence the work. They have returned with a third body of material that’s harder and more dynamic than ever before.

Debuting the three track EP “Preface” in 2013 that fused raw, aggressive sounds with progressive post-metal cues, the band carved a unique space for themselves in the Midwest heavy music scene. They enhanced the formula further by creating five tracks of material with more texture and depth in their follow up album “Body Matter” in 2015. The release incorporated moods of doom metal, hard post-rock and even 80s darkwave, creating a national sensation in major media outlets including Metal Injection, Decibel Magazine, Metal Insider, and Zero Tolerance Magazine. For the next year, the band was able to build events with domestic and international heavy hitters including Pain of Salvation, Spotlights, If These Trees Could Talk, InAeona, City of Ships, Black Tusk and North.

A Light Within is set to release “Epilogue”, the final conceptual installment in a three-part series containing transcribed diary entries written from the perspective of a reflective mind. Throughout the pages be prepared to hit an emotional remembrance of life experiences, love scenarios, and a metaphorical loss of it all.It was recorded and mixed in Kansas City by revered indie rock sound engineer Paul Malinowski (Season to Risk, Shiner, The Life & Times) at Massive Sound and mastered by Acle Kahney (TesseracT) at 4D Sounds. The EP will be released in both digital and limited release physical formats.
