Timi Tamminen – Toffee (Review)

Timi Tamminen - Toffee (Review)

Timi Tamminen has brought hip hop back to basics with his long-awaited single “Toffee” that has sent an atomic shockwave throughout the hip hop community. This speaheaded composition is riddled with lucrative flows that hit with a sense of unexpected variety and execution on this single.

Timi Tamminen has an all-business attitude when he steps in the booth and doesn’t miss any opportunities to assert his sharp-witted rhymes in the studio. The quick-tongued execution sets himself apart significantly with crisp gun slinging lyrical content reverting back to the rap fundamentals. The poeticism is simply a prerequisite for this aspiring artist as he melts the toffee instrumental with searing hot bars.

The down tuned piano provides a dark aura of sound that counteracts his melodic vocals that resonate on their own accords. Furthermore, the story telling components revere much like a graphic novel conveying a message through the soundwaves of conceptualization. The clearness of the singing comes at the listener full forced and is positioned towards the center of the mix where it can’t be denied or avoided.

Toffee provides a bitter revenge peering into the unconventional methodologies and pushing the top-of-the-line rap music aside.
