Labán – Quién da Más (Review)

Labán is an artist who loves to combine vibrant pop melodies with edgy hooks and energetic rock influences. His most recent single is a track titled “Quién da Más”, which is also featured on his most recent studio album, “Todos Somos Dueños.”

This Mexican artist has a nice sense of soulfulness to his vocals, and his music touches on various ideas and creative influences. From the articulate melodies of John Mayer, to the brio of Red Hot Chili Peppers and Ed Sheeran, only to mention a few.

Labán set out to conquer his fans with his amazing vocal styles and his intuitive lyrics, and “Quién da Más” is actually a really beautiful example of his dedication to quality music. His songs also combine catchy melodies with positive and insightful themes, often reflecting on important social issues throughout the world. For this reason, “Quién da Más” really resonates with people, much like other songs on the artist’s new album!

BIO

Labán is a Mexican singer and songwriter from the border city of Tijuana, living in Mexico City. He is the son of a graphic artist and a social activist, he began to play the violin at the age of 3. Humanism and social entrepreneurship were part of his education.

Todos Somos Dueños de Aquí is the name of his upcoming debut album. The first single Dueños de Aquí is “a protest song about corruption, impunity, extreme income inequality and violence”. The second single, Quién da Más is a song about frustration from not doing what makes us happy.

The musical concept of the album is based on minimalism and the dialectical view of the world, where a common pattern of change and evolution has a spiral form (thesis, antithesis, synthesis). A circular path that goes and returns to the start point but at the same time it progresses. As we all see the sun each morning, but the world, including us is not the same.

Quién da Más is a song about not doing what makes us happy and the frustration associated with, please find a translation of the lyrics at the end.
