The Talking Tears - Six Magical Songs (Review)

Check out ArtistRack’s review of ‘Six Magical Songs’ by The Talking Tears:

The Talking Tears is an artist with a focus on creating music that explores different musical styles and creative ideas. His most recent studio effort is an EP titled “Six Magical Songs,” which has a minimalistic sound, inspired by indie rock, alternative, and more.

The first track on the EP, “Tears,” might remind you of artists like Radiohead or Elliott Smith. However, the second track “X” has a different vibe, with some cool marimba sounds adding a unique feel to the melody, in conjunction with the drums.

The song “Gift” takes on yet another path, with some heavy synth sounds and a darker, ominous feel. The track “Rain,” is a psych-folk song with a minimalistic feel, while “Drift” features prominent electronic soundscapes and beautiful atmospheric sounds.

Last, but definitely not least, “Belong” is a perfect closing song. This is an indie-folk tune, which makes me think of acts such as Wilco or Calexico, only to mention a few.
