The Waking BY Kate Magdalena
“The Waking” is the perfect song to offer for our present day! It is a song about having the courage to face our lives, and the places they take us. The song was based on a famous poem by Theodore Roethke. Kate learned the poem decades ago, and finally made a song of it! Kate Magdalena is also a poet, and loves to use poetry as the inspiration for some of her songs. She has released three full albums, and is at work on another set to release this fall, 2021 #Canyonlands. She is so happy to be able to fulfill her dream of making music for the world! She is also at work on a music video for “The Waking” and will be releasing it this summer! Kate has also released an EP of Christmas songs called “In The Bleak Midwinter.” Her music is available on platforms worldwide. Magdalena is the winner of Best Album in Adult Contemporary in the 2020 WAM Awards for Indie Artists.
