Jonah Cohen – The More You Grow

ArtistRack brings to you ‘The More You Grow’ by Jonah Cohen

Jonah Cohen is a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from upstate New York. With roots in acoustic and electric guitar as well as piano, Cohen’s earliest musical influences were Paul Simon, Eric Clapton and Stevie Wonder. He developed his craft for songwriting performing shows around the United States at coffeehouses and colleges. His first studio album ‘Flashback’ was completed at Boston’s Q-Division Studios in 2004 followed by his album ‘Harboring the Day’ in 2008 which was produced by Mark Doyle. ‘Harboring the Day’ included songs such as “Brand New” which was featured on film and television. During his tours across America, Cohen performed regularly at venues such as New York City’s storied ‘The Bitter End’ as well as Los Angeles’ ‘Roxy Theatre’. After a long hiatus from recording, Cohen collaborated with Grammy-award winning producer Ben Wisch (Marc Cohn, Steve Winwood) to create ‘The Legacy of Spring’. Accompanying Cohen on the EP are musicians Kevin Barry on electric guitar (Jackson Browne, Ray Lamontagne), Joe Bonadio on percussion (Sting, Shawn Colvin) and Zev Katz on bass (Elton John, Roseanne Cash). “This album for me represents the seeds of hope around the cycles of life and renewal that are always there, even when hard to see amidst darkness and uncertainty. Getting back into the studio after so many years and working with Ben and the other incredible artists has been a dream come true. I can’t wait to share this music with others”.
