Interview with M.Band$$:
Miguel Angel Hernandez. Born in Los Angeles, California but raised in Indianapolis, Indiana. Ever since 14 I have pursue a career in music. I’ve invested most of my time and money into my music. I believe anything is possible with dedication and passion. What you put in, is what you will get. I’m looking forward to engaging with people who like my music. Indianapolis, Indiana
How long have you been making music?
I started messing around with rapping and writting when I was 14. As far as recording music last year and I am now 20 years old.
How many songs /albums have you released to date?
in total of 10 songs.
Can you tell us about your latest release and the background and inspirations behind it?
My latest release was a song called “Run it up”. It’s about working as much as I could to get the most money I could. Just so I can invest the money into my music. Hoping one day I can give my family a better life. I get motivation and inspiration in many ways. From my mom stressing over the bills to looking at famous rap artists living it up.
How have you ended up in the music industry?
I haven’t yet but one day I will. All it takes is dedication, investing, passion and patience.
What do you think of the music industry in 2017?
I think the music industry is very influential. It gives us what we want to hear so I can’t really complain.
Who do you think the most influential artist?
Tupac , biggie , big pun , jay z …. etc. Basically all the greats that we all know of til this day.
Who have you collaborated with so far in your career?
Nobody in the industry yet. Only 2 or 3 friends of mine.
How do you think you differ from other artists?
When I started.I didn’t take my time to study any of the greats or listen to any of my favorite rappers. Instead I recorded and over time found myself a style. I didn’t want to get influence by any of the rappers I heard. I wanted to make a style that was different and outstanding. My creativity is what stands out from artists. It took years developing my style but til this day I can proudly say I don’t sound like any rapper out there. That was my goal since 14 years old.
Dead or alive, who would be your dream collaboration?
Everybody. I want to collab with anybody and everybody. Music is my passion. I Honestly don’t have somebody specific in mind.
What was the first album you bought?
I’ve never bought an album before. Whatever was on the radio or YouTube is what I listened to. I never was too crazy about a artist.
What’s your favorite song at the moment?
Nav – my mind
If you had to sell your music collection tomorrow, what album would you leave in your draw?
If I had a handful of albums. I would choose my least favorite one.
What is your favorite saying?
Either you do it or don’t do it.
What other hobbies or interests do you have?
I will be completely honest. Ever since 14, I’ve put my all and focus towards being a famous rapper. I eliminated as much distractions I could just for music. If I’m not working , I’m making music. If I’m not making music, I’m working. Getting money and making music are my 2 only interests and hobbies.
Do you have any tattoos or piercings?
No piercings or tattoos but one day I will have tattoos.
Tell us more about your upcoming project or this new project?
I will keep dropping singles and videos until I build a good enough fan base. From there I will drop a crazy mixtape.
What’s in the pipeline after this project?
Making a few more crazy mixtapes until I’m in the industry and able to drop albums.
