The female rapper of hip hop known as “Da 1 Handed Bandit”, originally from Jackson, Ms., but has moved to Georgia to pursue her music career, is releasing her official single, “Wildin Out.” It has been said to a “spearhead” and a preview of her highly awaited album, “God’s New Breed.” Heavy hitting, direct & more aggressive than a platoon of angry marines, the album, “GOD’S NEW BREED”, by Da 1 Handed Bandit is a must-hear for fans of rap music everywhere.

What is your name?  Tycie Burns

Where are you from?   I’m from Jackson, Ms., but I’ve recently moved back to Georgia to pursue my music career.

How long have you been making music?   I’ve been doing music for about 10 years, but I’ve been seriously pursuing it for a lil over a year now.

How many songs /albums have you released to date?   I’ve released, promotionally, about 4. But this will be my first SERIOUSLY single that I’m pushing, “Wildin Out”.

Can you tell us about your upcoming release and the background and inspirations behind it?   My release of “Wildin Out”, was really decided on it because of Young Jeezy. There’s only a few rappers that I listen to. Next to 2 Pac, it’s him. I enjoy the liquor and all of my music is aboit my life, literally.

How have you ended up in the music industry?   My older brother, which is decease, “Roderick Clincy”, was really my only father figure that I had. Well, that I could look up to and he use to rap all the time. Really it’s in the blood, because my younger brother is/was a rapper. He stated how I use to be with written raps all over my bedroom floor.

What do you think of the music industry in 2015?   No comparison to the REAL hip hop raps. It’s all about entertaining, “ILLUSIONS”. The raps in the past, if you had a gun, YOU USED IT, for real. If you had dope, YOU SOLD IT, for real. Alot of rappers now, rap what they see on t.v. and people BELIEVE it. Just like santa clause, coming down a chimney…smh..

Who do you think the most influential artist?   It depends on what that rapper is being influential about. People know who to listen to when they want to hear what they want to hear. Rather it be lies, truth, hype, ego boost, beast moding, there’s alot of choices. I was never read fairtales, so I listen to TRUTH…..2 Pac, Young Jeezy, Kevin Gates, The Game, Snoop …I can’t dance or twerk.

Who have you collaborated with so far in your career?   Honestly, no one, lol. Well, the ones that I have, I’ve never seemed to hear the finish product. They end up replacing my verse or tell me I couldn’t do them like that on their song and they’ll hit me back. They know who they are. OH..MY BAD..J-Rocc aka Fla. Finiest, I’ve done a couple of songs with him on his album and vice versa.

Dead or alive, who would be your dream collaboration?   2 PAC!!!!!!!!! & Jeezy of course…hands down…

What was the first album you bought?   N.W.A. BABY!!!

What’s your favorite song at the moment? I just don’t have 1. Honestly, I can’t lie like that. I stay on Jeezy & Gates.

Who is the most influential artist now, and 10 years ago? Lol…come on…Jeezy without a doubt..

If you had to sell your music collection tomorrow, what album would you leave in your draw?   ALL my 2PAC & ALL of my Jeezy. And a few of Kevin Gates joints I have…it’s a must.

How do you think you differ from other artists?   Let me state first of all, my music isn’t for everybody. Only a certain type of people will get my music. I’m from the streets, so that’s what I speak about. I speak about not having a mother, a father, being rape, molested, selling drugs, being a drunk, all that. I can’t speak about 7 figures, I never had it. I can’t speak about riding in a $200K whip, but I will spit about my 96 SS IMPALA all day. I’m not here to entertain. I’ma tell you the cause and effect of pulling a gun out or selling dope. See going to jail doesn’t make you real, staying out does. And most of all, hell or jail aren’t your ONLY 2 options, Jesus is the third.

What is your favorite saying?   Lol…”MAYBE IT’S JUST ME!” and “EVERYTHING happens for a reason when you truly seeking Jesus.” People who sit and really just talk to me, really can’t believe what I be saying. Never judge a book by it’s cover.

What other hobbies or interests do you have?   I’m a certified Chef, I’ve been writing a book for the last 4 years, I’ve written television comedy scripts that I’m planning to shop next year. I have a few more things in store. Also a tank top line I’m doing. The music is just part of my journey to my PURPOSE .

Do you have any tattoos or piercings?  Yessssss…I am tatted up. I let my piercing go tho.

Tell us more about your upcoming project or this new project?   Well, I am releasing my “WILDIN OUT” video within the next week. As soon as I get it, BEATSTA will be the top on the list that I submit it to. But I’m doing the most that I’ve ever done with this single..

What’s in the pipeline after this project?   I’m working on a mini movie project of all my videos. I’m putting everything on paper now so when I get someone to film it, I’ll be prepared.

Thank you for your time and may you carry on making dope, fresh music.

I like to give a HUGE shout out to Chili Bo/Creepshow Mixtapes, he has always supported me!! But MOST OF ALL to my Heavenly Father, without Him………..thank You Lord…
