Artistrack brings to you ‘Angeline’ by Keyside
Recently signed with Modern Sky UK, Keyside is at the forefront of the emerging Liverpool scene with influences that stem from bands such as The La’s, The Smiths and a subtle nod towards The Police – all delivered with a unique and decidedly unapologetic Scouse filter.
New single “Angeline” is a story about a woman who battles to provide for herself and her family. Dealing with her own bad habits and the pressure of giving support to her family, she struggles to find relief, ultimately pushing her towards her own breakdown.
The hallmark of a good song is that you want to hear it again as soon as it finishes. Angeline is one of those songs. It’s a Tour de Force of rhythmic intensity and breezy, jaunty hooks, with a killer chorus to boot. It seeps into your consciousness until that dopamine takes over. Surrender to the rhythm.
Keyside are a breath of fresh air. Their songs are instantly memorable and devilishly infectious, filled with more hooks than a cloakroom. Four musical minds that work in complete harmony.
