The talented Variable X introducing brand new album, Area-51?
Variable X is a musician based in Shefford, Canada. His music is very diverse, bridging the gaps between a wide variety of rock-centric influences. From the melodic pop-punk hooks of bands like Blink-182, The Offspring, Dead Rituals or Taking Back Sunday, down to the hard-hitting edge of acts like Korn, anything goes.
Recently, Variable X set out to release a brand new album titled “Area-51?” which stands out as a portrait of the artist’s diverse creative attitude. Not only, rock, but also jazz, country and hip-hop are some of the many influences driving the songs on this record, which feels incredibly colorful and mercurial.
Variable X managed to set the bar higher and redefined what a rock record could be. While some bands and artists find themselves stagnating due to a lack of experimentation, this is definitely not the case here, because Variable X tried many exciting ideas on this album, whose title and mood was also inspired one of the artist’s favorite TV shows, X-Files!
