Valerie Vonn is an independent recording artist, producer, and songwriter based in Brooklyn, NY and Hamburg, Germany. The daughter of a German immigrant and raised in the American South, VV’s music draws from personal experiences, stories, and emotions. Growing up, she enjoyed singing in church, which helped hone her vocals skills and develop an appreciation for Gospel. Her father, a skilled Jazz pianist, inspired her love and curiosity for Blues, Jazz, Classical, Disco, and Soul. All of these influences can be heard in her instrumentation and lyrics today. While VV is constantly evolving her creative vision, you’ll find recent releases characterized by big, retro vocals and classically inspired melodies, with a contemporary twist.
