The Refusers introducing brand new release: Love Never Fails
June 2020 – If you know a thing or two about alternative rock music, Seattle is probably going to be ingrained in your mind as one of the most important sources of amazing bands and artists alike. From Nirvana to Jimi Hendrix, this city boasts an incredible music scene and it shows no signs of slowing down. Today, local acts such as The Refusers are keeping the flame alive and showcasing their solid take on the alternative genre. Their most recent studio release, Love Never Fails, is a strong combination of catchy melodies and heavier grooves, inspired by artists as diverse as Rage Against The Machine, as well as Marmozets, only to mention but a few.
The Refusers went to great lengths to make this one truly special, and it is safe to say that the quality of the production speaks for itself. The sound of the band’s music takes no prisoners: The Refusers go for the kill with some unique textures, especially when it comes to layering guitars and highlighting the massive punch of their drums. The track has a unique beginning, with a powerful lead guitar line, followed by a distinctive melody with vocals, organ and piano, making me think of classic acts as diverse as The Rolling Stones, as well as Neil Young. This song tips the hat off to the golden age of classic rock, but it still retains a vibrant, modern sound with an edgy twist.
