ArtistRack brings to you ‘On The Line’ by The Milkshakes:
On the line is a FOMO inspired love song.
The Milkshakes wrote it for their partners who were seeing them have the best time over a two week tour of 20 crazy party gigs in Japan. The song has a sanguine and optimistic summertime vibe, laced with Japanese esque pentatonic lines and the crunch of snow under snow boots.
The track features two synth players from Berlin; Tim Granabacka and Kaspar Föhres, an orchestra of strings and a coal train that was passing by the studio the night they started recording. The Milkshakes inspirations include Remi Wolfe, Still Woozy and Unknown Mortal Orchestra.
What is in store for the next 6 months
We have 2 shows coming up, one on the Mid North Coast and one in Sydney and we are in talks with a few venues and agencies for a NYE show.
The single launch for ‘On The Line’ will be in December in Byron where Will, one half of the band, lives.
Next year we are heading back to Indonesia to tour Bali. We had a successful run of shows just before the pandemic and we will return to play a couple of those venues.
We also have more singles in production and these are planned for release in 2023.
