The first English release by Dutch pop-act STANDAARD from Amsterdam! Feel the funk!
After lots of fans and several supporting radio stations requested an English song, STANDAARD actually liked the idea immediately and decided to record their first English track ‘Without You By My Side’. With this release the prove they can stick to their funky, super-groovy and upbeat vibe while performing in another language. The typical STANDAARD-sound is there with a twist of the 80’s/90’s and sometimes a bit of disco, but always with an up-to-date vibe and swing.
In The Netherlands lately more and more music lovers and radio stations are getting familiar with the sound of STANDAARD. ‘Performing in English surely expands the potential enormously’, both Philip and Rosita from STANDAARD confirmed, but it’s still a very exciting adventure. We believe in our product and we’re having fun in the studio and on stage. That’s the most important thing. We just hope a lot of listeners will love our sound. And more in English is coming up!’
