Sestrumer proudly presenting their new song, ‘Offline’
Sestrumer is a music project based in Rome, Italy. The project has been active ever since back in 1999, and many things have happened since then. The group keenly explored a wide range of musical styles and ideas, not only bringing many different influences into the fold, but also welcoming new artists, as well as setting the bar higher in terms of genre definitions and creative freedom.
At times progressive, at times post-metal and alternative, the sound of the group takes on many different directions and the results are always astonishing. Sestrumer’s most recent studio release, Offline, is actually yet another chapter in the project’s story and stylistic evolution. Featured on an album titled “Under Effect,” the song is the 6th track (out of ten) in this new collection of songs.
The production is truly astonishing and it immediately highlights how uniquely diverse the sound of this project can be. The guitars are upfront and powerful, while the drums are powerful, holding the rhythm down to perfection. The synth tones enable the group to explore so many textures and go for a striking melodic approach. The vocals have a nice low-register, which actually makes me think of non-strictly metal artists, such as Nine Inch Nails, only to mention one.
