Roger Ortega presenting his new festive single, ‘Last Christmas’
It’s a classic that has been done and redone but Roger has never felt like any of the remakes have done it justice. I wanted to express the story I felt the lyrics told. I wanted to take it down a path that wouldn’t lend itself to being played in teenage department store. George Michael is/was my favorite singer/songwriter of all time. So much so that I covered his song Father Figure and also did a George Michael tribute show a couple of years ago. I felt like because of my appreciation for his music I could take this song and make it something special.
