Red Devil Vortex release their new single, ‘Ready’
From living in an RV in the streets of Hollywood to #16 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart, Red Devil Vortex came to life while these guys from Brazil were adapting to a whole new world of cultural shocks and reality checks, a path that wasnβt exactly a California dream. No matter the challenges of moving to a different country, Gabriel Connor and Iago Marcondes were relentless and just getting louder. Red Devil Vortex is not only the sonic result of chaos and frustrations, but also a message of strife and survival. A doorway to better days.
The band had its kickstart in 2016 with the single βTHE FALLENβ, a song that quickly became a favorite in their live performances. Sharing the stage with artists like Bill Ward, Uli Jon Roth, Steven Adler and Saliva to name a few, the band performed all over California between 2016 and 2017, until joining forces with producer Augustus Cryns (Butcher Babies, Anti-Flag) for the recording of their first EP. The result was βSOMETHING HAS TO DIEβ, released in May of 2018, entering the US Billboard charts on its first week at No #16 (Heatseekers Chart) and No #49 (Independent Albums Chart).
The year of 2019 saw the release of a series of live videos recorded at the Ultimate Jam Night at the Whisky A Go Go, while the band was back in studio with Augustus Cryns working on their second record. βVIPERβ was chosen to give the fans a little taste of the new material, being released as a single in Oct 31st, as the band hosted their first βRDVβs Halloween Bashβ in Hollywood, including a themed costume party, costume contests, giveaways and a whole night of live music by some of the best bands in Los Angeles. The second single, βREADYβ, came out in February of 2020.
Red Devil Vortex is currently working on the final details of their second EP to be released in 2021.
