Queen Dej was born in Windsor, ON, Canada to an ABSENT African American Father and a British/German/Native American absent βmotherβ.
Growing up between the two countries (Canada/America), going to numerous schools, whilst having a rocky home life, then going into her 20βs dealing with homelessness, more physical, mental and emotional abuse in relationships, she has always turned to hip-hop and rnb for comfort.
Detroit is where she calls home; high school in Wichita, KS (nightmare during hurricane Katrina); molded by college in New York City w/ no regrets.
Now being a resident of Toronto, she chooses to travel back and forth putting her music into fruition.
Being well travelled from the East Caribbean, South America and Europe (Alone) her musical influences have always ranged.
A versatile Hip-Hop artist and naturally knowledgeable force with unfathomable intellectual strength, crafty and witty REAL LIFE lyricism skills, eclectic/classic beat selection and flow, melodies, as well as sickening wordplayβ¦be on the lookout for this QUEEN. *BOOM BAP*
She didnβt always, but for the past 6 years, learned to love herself first.
Investing in herself as no one else ever has, she owes it all to her great grandmother (family matriarch) who molded her before her passing in 2008.
