Nias is a songwriter/producer born in Brooklyn, currently based in NYC. This vocally driven piece ‘Without You’ (Acoustic) wasn’t crafted to be a traditional “radio hit”. Rather, it’s a masala of various genres, and a salute to the ballads of the past. The song was recorded in NYC at Sound Association Studios by Engineer Craig Weinberg. It includes: Nias and Ming performing all vocals, Preston Fulwood on piano and Trilian Bass, Charisa Dowe Rouse on Viola, and Abdul Zurhi on Acoustic Electric guitar. This vocally driven arrangement combines jazz, classical, R&B, and Folk influences all together. The video was recorded in Manhattan’s Highline Park and features Lajuan Carter Dent performing the female sections along with Nias.
