M. Maggie wears many hats. She’s a poet. She’s an artist. Most importantly, she’s a stellar musician whose blending of genres and influences creates more than just a sonic pleasure. It creates an entire landscape of vibes, inviting listeners of all walks of life into her fold. Today we are excited to bring you her video for “Did It For U,” a video that fascinates the senses and delivers a mesmerizing dose of beauty.
She is currently based in New York, but has also called Houston and New Orleans home, each one contributing a unique piece to her musical sum. Unlike many artists who try to hit listeners over the head with their influences, M. Maggie is a master of nuance. A love of jazz and soul is prevalent in her music, which is soaked in tasteful bits of electronic production, but they all seamlessly blend together like a delicious cake fresh out of the oven.
