Little Muddy announce the release of their new single, ‘Groove Town’
What inspired groove town?
The assignment for myself when writing Groove Town was to keep things upbeat and
melodic throughout the track. I tend to naturally veer towards the darker and moodier
side of the street when writing music, so this was a good detour outside my comfort zone.
How i created it?
I wrote this one around the drum track. The goal here for me with Groove Town was to
write something catchy with a hummable melody.
I remember that this track came together pretty quickly. The rhythm guitar chords
popped out soon after hearing the drum track, then the guitar melody, and from there
the arrangement seemed to fall into place soon after. I then added some pedal steel
style volume swell chords for atmosphere, some great bass guitar from Kevin White,
and it was pretty much in place
