Kate Magdalena is back with the release of her new single, ‘Green Upon Green’
Kate Magdalena is an independent singer-songwriter out of the San Francisco Bay Area, and recently Nashville, TN. Most at home in folk-pop, she calls her genre ‘Timely Americana’, as she is inspired to write for the particular times in which we live. Kate’s music has been described her voice as “quite literally sweeping you away; otherworldy, ethereal, like someone on the Irish hillside singing, precise and lilting, with great vocal range and control.”
Kate has released three albums, and will release her fourth, “CanyonLands” this spring. This album and the two previous ones have been produced in Nashville by Billy Smiley, Northern Shore Productions. This song,”Green Upon Green” will be included with that album. The song is being released this month on two separate record compilations, both with Bongo Boy Records, and also with Acoustic Rainbow on their next roots compilation out this month. “Green Upon Green” is kind of an imaginary work, set in Ireland. It is a love story involving an imaginary idyllic setting in a very beautiful land, Ireland. It is a love story for the soul. Somethings spoke to my soul as a girl and it is this seed that I wish to capture in the song.
