JP Kennedy presents: Devil’s Playground
February 2021 – JP Kennedy is a singer and songwriter who is based in Pittsboro, Indiana. Recently, he announced the release of a new studio titled “Devil’s Playground.” The release features 8 songs with an incredibly diverse sound, highlighting the artist’s versatility. The title track serves as a perfect opener, perfectly welcoming the audience into the mood of this record.
The following song, “Get To It Now” happens to be one of the best tracks on the album, particularly due to the amazing acoustic and electric guitar interactions. “My Provider” is just as dynamic, with a rich electronic drum textures counteracting the gentle acoustic sounds. “Only One for Me” has a retro vibe, reminiscent of artists like Dire Straits, while “Only Hope” features a dreamy arrangement with some mesmerizing soundscapes. “Still Remain” provides a sparse percussive backdrop along with an acoustic ballad vibe. “Back to Square One” contrasts with a rock-inspired arrangement, before closing it all with “Remind Me,” a perfect final song!
