Jon Harris is back and flexing his skills again. Known for being a writer in which the you really have to pay attention to his lyrics, he does not disappoint with his new track. Jon recently released new song “Great” on October 21, 2022.
Jon has always been an artist that takes his time with his music. He puts a lot of thought into every aspect of a song; from the overall theme, the point down to a sentence or even a specific word. So there are usually gaps between his releases however they are always worth the wait. In the year 2022 he released his song “2022 Toast” on New Years and we haven’t her from him since. He said he has been juggling a lot of projects for his company, one of which being the video game he developed “A Haunting” which is available on his company’s website. He said he has been working on single releases and songs for his album along with a host of other non-music related projects.
In his words “Great is like the stretch athletes do before they perform; like a warm up” He says he is excited to get the music he has been working on out. He started with making the beat, which is very strong on the drums. Thinking about it he told himself this was a beat you had to make a statement on, which is exactly what he did. While sampling the song to people he noticed a lot of his lines, metaphors, and word play went over peoples heads. This he attributes to his admiration to Eminem. After finishing the track he sent the instrumental over the Brayant Perdomo to give the be an upgrade to which Harris admitted he gave the song more flare. It’s safe to say Jon Harris is back!
