ArtistRack brings to you ‘How Could You?’ by Joan & The Giants
Proving to be an act to watch in 2024, Boorloo’s (Perth) indie pop-rock band Joan & The Giants have recently supported global superstars P!NK and Tones & I at Optus Stadium, they landed Triple J Unearthed feature artist after the release of their latest single ‘Born in the Wrong Time’ which also won them the Australia wide Happy Mag ‘Needle in the Hay’ comp and Best Rock Song / Runner Up Song of the Year at the 2024 WA Song of the Year Awards. This year the four piece have embarked on multiple national tours, and will be supporting US pop sensation Belinda Carlisle on her entire Australian run of shows throughout September and October, as well as showcasing at SXSW Sydney.
With up-tempo melodies, mournful vocals, and transient guitar, ‘How Could You?’ is a track straight out of a coming-of-age movie. The soft, analogue quality of the song melts away in this musical journey through emotions, the bittersweet tune melting into anger with a grand finale of electric guitar and thrashing drums.
