Interview with 'Kolten Kirschke'

Kolten Kirschke is an independent pop artist from Dallas, Texas. He found a love for the stage and cameras at age 5 and began his training for the entertainment industry. He is also in several major commercials, print campaigns, and industrials.

Where are you from?

I’m really back and forth between LA and Texas but based in Dallas, Texas

How long have you been making music?

Always singing and performing to covers I started making my own original music about six years ago.

How many songs /albums have you released to date?

Released two EP’s so far excited to share more!

Can you tell us about your latest release and the background and inspirations behind it?

“Going Under” is set to release next month and really most of my songs in this EP relate to my life and are inspired by events during that time.

How have you ended up in the music industry?

Music has always been a big part of my life but it was a local talent audition that set things in motion. Around the age of 10 we entered the talent audition and moved forward in all categories to perform again in Orlando, Florida. Made it to finals as a singer, won the VIP Choice Award, signed with a manager and never looked back.

What do you think of the music industry in 2022?

I love the fact that everything has become digital and just easier! Digital platforms and events online allow you to make the music you want, have fun, get it out there and just do you!

Who do you think the most influential artist?

There are so many artists that would be great but someone I have covered the most as a singer is Justin Bieber. He started his career at such a young age so his whole story inspires me as an artist. Knowing what it takes and how much he achieved at a young age it’s a work ethic to admire.

Who have you collaborated with so far in your career?

Starting out as an artist I toured with a group called ICE so many of the artists on tour worked and collaborated together for performances in Texas. So far, I haven’t released any originals with another artist but hope to do so in the future.

How do you think you differ from other artists?

I have some an eclectic life that I put those experiences into my music!

Dead or alive, who would be your dream collaboration?

Shiloh Dynasty

What was the first album you bought?

Michael Jackson’s 6th Album Thriller

What’s your favourite song at the moment?

“Demons” by Joji

If you had to sell your music collection tomorrow, what album would you leave in your draw?

That’s a tough one but probably keep my first ever album release.

What is your favourite saying?

“Practice doesn’t make perfect it makes permanent”

What other hobbies or interests do you have?

Soccer, gaming online with friends, remixing music, playing the piano, competitive dance, and working as a DJ at all the local hotspots.

Do you have any tattoos or piercings?

None!

Tell us more about your upcoming project or this new project?

“Going Under” has a story similar to the other songs in my current EP. Teens working on their relationships can hopefully relate to this song and others. Excited for you guys to check it out next month!

What’s in the pipeline after this project?

Continue to work on my third EP and get it out before the new year.

Thank you for your time and may you carry on making great, fresh music.

Thank you so much for the interview!
