ArtistRack brings to you ‘Someday’ by Ian Jones
Ian Jones is a songwriter and touring artist from the Pacific Northwest. Raised in the shadow of Mt. Rainier, Ian has spent the last three decades writing music, making records and touring the US. The song “Someday” was a tribute for his good friend Ronnie Owens, who was one of the four police officers ambushed and killed in Tacoma on November 29, 2009. The original version of the song was written and released within a week of the shootings, but this version was released in April of 2023 on Ian’s latest album ‘Results not Typical’ which spent over 7 weeks in the AMA top 100 charts. “I believe it’s a song that can bring some comfort to anyone who’s lost someone in the line of duty, whether it’s a first responder, military, or any other tragic loss.” said Jones. “I miss Ronnie, he was a great guy, a great dad, a brother, son and friend.”
