hooyoosay – Emotionless We Said Goodbye:
hooyoosay is not a band actually, though it is presented as a band.
In fact it’s rather a project.
A project of writing, playing, recording and releasing music.
It came into existence a good number of years ago, in a recording studio, after a session had finished involving some hired musicians, who then started a spontaneous jam playing cover songs.
The jam was recorded and after some further elaboration, these songs got released in online stores, but the participants wanted to remain anonymous.
Then later, new releases were created by a number of varying contributors, each one of them respecting the initial principle of anonymity.
They all take part merely because they enjoy doing so.
Due to some contributors being different with each release, it is hard to categorize hooyoosay with one specific genre or style, or to reference a couple of similar sounding artists.
However, a returning characteristic might be that their music is mostly gentle, never too heavy, and often radiating a retro vibe.
“Emotionless We Said Goodbye” is the latest single released by hooyoosay.
