I stepped out of my element to record Bad Chick. I wanted to do something totally different than what I am accustomed to, especially with the beat. My goal was to create a quirky, fun record people could dance to. I also wanted to uplift the women on this song. I feel like hip-hop is missing that fun perspective, and I tried to inject some of that on Bad Chick. This record is about a women who is independent, and doesn’t need a man. She takes care of her business, and a lot of men would love to have her on their team.
