Hailyn Heisler presents her latest album release, ‘Introspection’
I’m Hailyn (named after Van Halen which i think is pretty cool!) I am a singer/songwriter from Canada. I’ve been writing songs since the age of seven (although they totally didn’t make sense back then) + i’ve been singing before I could even talk.
I’ve struggled more than i’d like to admit + was never confident or knew my sound, nor was i comfortable singing in front of people. I went through the motions/got myself in a better place + in 2018 began searching for recording studios so i could record my original music.. let me tell you, as soon as I got a taste of being in a recording studio + hearing other people play my songs, it became super addicting; being in the studio is a way to let go + be me – it’s definitely my safe space.
Writing songs is an escape. It helps release the darkest parts of me + all the corners of my heart + soul that I never knew how to vocalize spills freely out on pages. Honestly, every time I write a song that makes me feel how some of my absolute favorite songs make me feel, I feel like i’m in the right place doing what i’m meant to do – creating music out of the things in your head after years of hating + battling with the things in your head is MAGIC + completely indescribable.
I love to use sounds in my music/songs that are different, that give me chills + that i think would make people go “Wow, that sounds so stinkin’ cool!” My lyrics are very raw + real, so I hope that when people listen to my music, they know that they’re definitely not alone.
