Golding to release brand new studio single: Alone. Together
July 2020 – Golding is a duo hailing from the Gold Coast of Australia, consisting of Jay Bainbridge & Matt Bartlem. They have a strong focus on creating songs that have a raw vibe and an energetic feel. Their most recent single release, “Alone. Together” creates a beautiful contrast of sounds and ideas, which is also apparent in the song title. The track combines well-produced rhythms and some gripping melodies with an alternative feel. The vocals have a more contemporary feel, akin to some of the best modern indie rock.
The juxtaposition between the more minimalistic verses and the open choruses is truly astonishing, giving the song a unique vibe. Fans of artists such as Alt J, Interpol or even Radiohead would certainly appreciate the big, crisp and ambient-driven sound of this release.
This is track is highly inspired by a moment Jay Bainbridge had with his wife: “Whilst I was fully in the moment with her, I was also able to be outside the moment and realise how relatable and real this same situation must be for so many other people.”
