March 2021 – Don Philly is a recording artist and songwriter based in the Dominican Republic. His sound could be described as a blend of various influences, including Urban, pop, soul, and R&B. However, his music is never really tied to the usual cliches and genre definitions, but it’s rather an opportunity for the artist to try out different and amazing sonic ideas that escapes the usual cliches of the genre. His most recent release, Careta, is actually a perfect example of what I am talking about. The track is punchy and melodic, and the production has a distinctive twist that feels imaginative and catchy.
This one is definitely going to be your cup of tea if you like world music with a rhythm-driven twist and some contemporary vibes. Don Philly is an artist to be on the look out for, and if Careta is any indication, things are about to get very, very interesting in his career and musical journey!
