BRANLAND – Good Enough for Me..

“Good Enough for Me..” the latest track by vintage spook-pop rocker BRANLAND, finds you drifting on a melancholic daydream into a beautiful landscape of lush melody with a few eerie turns along the way. The track opens with the distant droning guitar, warbling in and out of tune. It’s followed by the main acoustic riff of the song, ascending with with tension and descending with an unresolved sorrow. Immediately after we are hit with the first vocal lines “Trapped in a day to day daze..with a dream to never wake up..hanging her head from the clouds of smoke she holds in” setting up the ever so dreamy, sad beauty that the track is ready to deliver.

Through a myriad of musicality BRANLAND conveys the pain of watching someone you love fall apart, separating themselves in an array of confusion and self loathing, hurting themselves without realizing they are hurting the ones who love them. The songs verses representing the hazy, drunken efforts to deal with their spiraling pain and not seeing who is reaching out for them to hold on to. The chorus urging them to remember that despite all of their insecurities and vices, that they are still loved. This track can be thought of as a letter to those you love who can’t see their worth past the mental blockade they’ve surrendered themselves to.
