BlueMelt present their new release, ‘The Cube And The Key (part I)’
BlueMelt is a rock music project fronted by London-based guitarist and multi-instrumentalist Vito Tardia (aka Ragman), former member of the power metal band Pandaemonium.
“The Cube And The Key (part I) is a short selection of the songs I wrote after I moved to London in 2017. The original plan was to perform them live, but then lockdown happened so I thought it was a better idea to spend this time recording while we’re all waiting to gig again.”
“Stranger” is the appetizer, a fast-paced hard rock guitar solo, inspired by the works of guitar-hero Marty Friedman.
The whole EP was produced and performed entirely by Vito on his MacBook. By listening to the other tracks, you can clearly spot the influence of other renowned artists like Joe Satriani and Richie Kotzen.
BlueMelt’s music was initially conceived as instrumental, where classic blues-based guitar melodies were supported by bold modern industrial drums and bass. It then developed into a mix of both instrumental and vocal-based music, with grungy vocals layered on top of a contemporary solid hard rock foundation, occasionally dipping into electronic music.
