We wrote this song, “Go For It”, when Elvira was on TV and when it was cool to say, “go for it”.
We had fabulous back up singers, Mickey Morris and Denise Patterson, sing on the song after touring with Aretha Franklin and recording with Stevie Wonder and Bill Withers. Jason Ball and Michael Merola played guitar; Keith O’Malley played keyboards and Darrell Devlin drums. We recorded this song for $5 per hour in a Hollywood studio beginning at 12:00 midnight.
J. C. Martin sang, wrote and produced the song.
