[MUSIC REVIEW] Big O & P-Rawb present: Lost My Mind (feat. Gabby)
March 2021 – Big O & P-Rawb recently released a fantastic new studio track: Lost My Mind. This song also features a fantastic collaboration with artist Gabby, who contributed to the track beautifully, adding more layers and personality to the mix. This lush and atmospheric song also happens to be the final of 9 tracks that appear on Big O & P-Rawb’s most recent album, “The Complexity.” This is one of the highlights on this beautiful album, as it combines melodic vocals to hip-hop verses, with a beat that has a classic feel.
The swing of the beat reminds me of production legends such as J Dilla or Flying Lotus, and there is something quite special about how it all unfolds. The song has a very earnest, personal sound, and the lyrics are more intuitive, definitely straying far from the usual cliches of the genre. I would highly recommend listening to this if you like lo-fi beats, as well as hip-hop that blends in with soulful influences.
