Alex in Trouble releases a new single titled, ‘July’
July is the first single I am launching under my music alias Alex in Trouble. I consider it to be a track that showcases retro vibes with a twist on modern pop. I wrote it with aspirations to meld my musical influences while keeping true to my roots in pop, r&b, soul, and vocal harmony. The working title of this track was “Start Screen”. It brought me back to a time where I would press the power button on my favorite video games and felt instant relief, excitement, and anticipation for what’s to come. I wanted to capture all of those feelings again. I’ve written, recorded, and produced my own music since I was 15. My previous music alias was known as Lexy June (June being my middle name). Interestingly, I was born on July 5th, when fireworks are rampant and the “summer dawns”. Now as Alex in Trouble, this song marks a new beginning and a true turning point for myself, both personally and musically. It serves as a rebirth as well as a nod to my lifelong musical journey.
