The Dye presents: Tantric Pace (from the album “Poem of Ride”)
August 2021 – When listening to The Dye, my hopes in the future of music and creativity increased by a tenfold. This band offers a taste of what it means to push the boundaries of alternative rock.
Instead of being stuck in the usual patterns, they actually managed to look back while moving forward. On the one hand, the sound of the group tips the hat off to legends such as The Cure, Pink Floyd and David Bowie. On the other, there’s a deeper sense of cinematic edge to their sound, which is reminiscent of modern stalwarts such as Arcade Fire or Interpol.
More importantly, this is music that escapes easy comparisons, highlighting how The Dye developed a seamless, personal sound. The group’s most recent single, Tantric Pace, happens to be featured on their new album, Poem of Ride, which serves as a diverse testament to their sound and creativity. The psychedelic influences add a lot more atmosphere to the music, without necessarily diminishing the impact of the band’s energy.
