I, The Ruin is a band from Southampton, UK. The group consists of four musicians, who came together to create a sound that is direct, raw, and unapologetic, seamlessly blurring the lines between a wide range of genres and influences. Their most recent studio EP, Mortality, features 5 songs, which takes the band’s music to different directions. Each track explores a different concept, often dealing with dark themes and introspective topics such as struggling with depression, fitting in, experiencing loss, and generally existing within the boundaries of a rather strange society. The nature of the song’s topics is quite personal and direct, and there is something truly insightful about the band’s artistry and vision.
