The popular Sydney Duo began life in 2014 and can be best described as a Folky/Pop act playing their own brand of Dreamy, Fun and Poppy styled originals amongst a range of well-placed 60s/80s covers.
In addition to their current success with ‘Dream On Me’ on Spotify and which is currently sitting at No9 (12/12/20) on the US Top 75 Indie Artists Airplay chart, the Duo have released another 7 amazing singles, all achieving airplay and chart action in Australia and Overseas in the UK, US, Canada and Europe!
So who are Franky & Wendy?
Franky Valentyn is a multi-talented award winning artist (described by UK Prog mag as a musical ‘polymath’), who has performed in many of Sydneys iconic cover bands and is the creative force behind The Franky Valentyn Project! (Besides ‘Franky & Wendy’, he is also the featured keyboardist in The Mad Cow Band and receives many guest invites to perform live in other bands!)
His lovely and amazing vocal partner Wendy Angel, is a talented performer who Franky partnered after judging her performance in a talent contest (fyi she didn’t win!) and whilst Franky takes a background stage role as a musician, Wendy is upfront leading the duos originals.
Prior to Covid ‘Franky & Wendy’ performed up to 3-5 gigs a week on Sydney’s major Pub & Club Entertainment circuit, with occasional regional tours. (plus their much loved and award winning children’s show, ‘Fun With Franky’)
