Disbanded the Band introducing brand new release: Watching Waves
May 2020 – Disbanded the Band is an alternative rock band who recently published a brand new EP: “Business As Usual.” The sound of this group tips the hat off to dream-pop, indie rock and atmospheric alternative music, in the vein of artists such as DIIV, Dead Rituals, or The 1975, only to mention but a few.
The EP features a selection of 5 amazingly produced tracks, including the single “Watching Waves,” a dreamy lullaby-like song with a sparse layer of percussive elements and a mellow acoustic guitar sound. In addition to that, the vocals are earnest and spontaneous, with some catchy harmonies and vocal hooks (as teased in the song’s intro) that add more to the mix.
The production quality is astonishing, reminiscent of bigger bands such as Coldplay, The Fray or Temper Trap, among others. This song is a perfect introduction to the band’s music, and a great mix of melodic and textural ambiance.
