Artistrack brings to you ‘Fire and Ice’ by Tom Tikka &The Missing Hubcaps
Hot on the tracks of his spring smash hit “Something New”, Tom Tikka releases another single off his upcoming album “Rainbows and Dead Flowers” titled “Fire and Ice”. “Fire and Ice” peaked at #10 on the UK Top 100 singer-songwriter chart on the day of its release (August 18) and gave Tikka his 14th top-ten hit in just a little over seven years.
Written with his former bandmate Antti Autio and produced by Tom Tikka and Janne Saksa, “Fire and Ice” is a story of brothers playing pirates in their bunkbed, sailing their ship towards an imaginary island with countless treasures to discover.
“Fire and Ice” was released on August 18 worldwide with the accompanying music video scripted, filmed, directed and edited by Tom’s wife Elina Suominen.
Tom Tikka, the former Sony/BMG songwriter, best known for his work with Carmen Gray, began his solo career in 2020 and has since released two critically acclaimed albums “This Is My Happy Face” and “Better Man”. The former included two #1 hit singles, “Doormat” & “With Eyes Closed”, while the latter featured the #2 hit “Done with Blues” and “By 2022” that reached #14 on the charts. Tikka’s previous single “Something New” peaked at #4 on the UK Top 100 Rock Chart, while his recent collaboration with the British group WILLJACK gave Tom his first transatlantic hit.
