Steeve Landree Interview

primaltees-recordings

Steven Landry is a multi-instrumentalist performer, songwriter and visual artist. He is currently a regular figure in the Austin underground music scene. His timeline as a post-punk and experimental music performer spans almost three decades. Steven is originally from Clarksdale Mississippi.

Steven’s 2015 recording project; “Delta Force,” features blues-influenced material that is personal and intimate but still delivers the confrontational fusion of psychedelic punk and experimental noise that we have come to know him by.

Steven is determined to share more of his unconventional work with the world outside of Austin in the coming months. His plan is to obtain professional help (by going into an industry-standard recording facility). Landry’s success or failure in the task of creating an inviting audio space, where listeners can easily partake of his sonic concoctions, will determine if the output of these sessions will be released into the wild, or if the experiments will be filed away forever on yet another bit-rot prone hard drive from the office supply store.
