Sam Louis introducing brand new release: Shiny
September 2020 – Colorful, bright, intense and energetic. These are only some of the words that come to mind when visualizing Sam Louis, and his most recent studio release: Shiny. This song features a very modern alt-pop style, combining intelligent arrangement ideas with sophisticated melodies and something a bit more crisp, in the vein of artists such as Twenty One Pilot, The 1975, as well as Tame Impala and Foster The People only to mention but a few. Although Sam has got many influences, his music doesn’t sound like anything from any particular artist, but rather something distinctive and open-ended, going for a more unique approach that’s creative and excellently produced in its own right.
“Shiny” is a great example of what I am talking about. Ultimately, it stands out due to its excellent production and catchy musicianship, and it stands out as a great example of what it means to create some excellent R&B music in this day and age.
