Royal, born Landon Jean-Reneβ Bligen, is a Rap artist who was born in NYC on November 2nd, 1990. Life wasnβt always easy for this driven artist, and he had to face many challenging hardships growing up. At a very young age, he even lost his dear brother, and experienced many other troubling struggles. Eventually, he moved to Atlanta with his family, and by the young age of sixteen he had already found his path: pursuing a career in Music.
In spite of all the hard times, Royal could always use music as a way to share his story and express himself. His most recent single release, βYou Donβt Know My Struggleβ is a really perfect approach to personal storytelling, making for a really diverse and unique feel. His sound blurs the lines between old school hip-hop and R&B, tipping the hat off to artists as diverse as Biggle Smalls, and Tupac, but also DβAngelo and Prince, only to mention a few.
