Olga Layevska presenting, ‘Solveig’s Song’

The Solveig song was written by the Norwegian composer Edward Grieg to the drama of the Norwegian poet Henrik Ibsen’s “Peer Gynt”. The image of the modest girl Solveig has become a symbol of fidelity, love and devotion in world culture.

Olga Layevska-soprano. Received higher musical education in Ukraine. She performed with concerts in Ukraine, Russia, Germany, Poland and Canada. She taught vocals at Kherson College of Music in Ukraine.
