From Behind the Scenes to Center Stage

Born Nija Charles in Union, New Jersey, in 1997, Nija began her journey in music at a young age. She attended NYU’s Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music, where she honed her production skills and crafted beats in her dorm room. After connecting with various music industry figures, she left school in 2017 and signed a deal with Universal Music Publishing Group.

Over the next several years, Nija’s songwriting and production skills came into high demand. She worked on songs for some of the biggest names in mainstream rap, pop, and R&B. With multi-platinum credits under her belt, Nija issued her first collection of her own music in January 2022 with the EP-length project Don’t Say I Didn’t Warn You.
