Gary, Indiana native Nichelle Colvin describes herself as a storyteller, and she brings that gift to her music – with emotions ranging from love to hurt to ecstasy to anger.

We’ve been waiting awhile for Nichelle’s new album, Evolving-RLM, and it is finally arriving. It’s a varied affair, but we took a shine to the slow groover, “What We Gone Do.” Nichelle tells us about the song, “This song came from a place of being surprised by love. The lyrics start, “How did we get here babe?” Two friends that have been friends for a long time but never thought of themselves as a couple. Have dated other people as well, and suddenly find themselves with feelings. It’s awkward for them and they don’t know how to handle it.”
