Global Status Inc. signee Lay B announces the release of his debut project, an EP titled Iconic Measure. After being featured on the most respected media in Hip-Hop such as The Source with his debut single “Rags 2 Riches,” Lay B is now giving fans a full picture of the wide range of his capabilities as an urban artist, rapper, poet, and performer, who can do it all and beyond.
After years polishing his skills and meditating his vision, he is now one of the most complete artists in the rap game, with nothing to envy the greatests the game has seen, thanks to his imagination, confidence, and “surgically precise” deliveries as described by the critics.
The Atlanta based emcee was heavily influenced by his father to start music, since he was a rapper, imitating his every move and making him his main inspiration. His music evolved along the years, transforming from strictly raw rapping, to lyrical rapping, and today to become an artist who can blend mix, input, melodies, and transform his life experiences into his signature sound.
In “Rags 2 Riches,” he shares his personal story, upgrading from a mediocre everyday rap, to just going all-in with it, partly thanks to his brother who always gave him constructive criticism regarding his art.
