JayTrey & ALK introducing brand new studio EP, “Sonnet 116.”
June 2020 – JayTrey & ALK recently joined forces on a stunning collaborative EP release titled “Sonnet 116.” The EP features 6 songs, including the opening number, “Late Nights,” which immediately sets the bar higher with some great melodies and amazing production chops.
There are so many incredible moments on this EP, and each song has something special to offer. However, “Heart Strings” is one of my favorite songs, especially because of the fact that it has soulful vocal melodies and a soothing layer of melodic sounds, which seamlessly merge with a syncopated beat.
The song “Arcade” is a close contender for me as well, with its trap-inspired beat and soothing vocal melodies. This track has got some of the heaviest bass tones on the entire EP, but it still retains a nice melodic attitude, inspired by modern trap-soul and neo-R&B alike. If you are a fan of artists such as Frank Ocean, Miguel, or even Mac Miller, this one is going to be perfect for you!
